Great short video in which Jack White of the White Stripes talks about using constrictions – deadlines, playing on guitars that don’t stay in tune, not using a setlist,… – to build tension in himself, to push himself and work even harder notwithstanding his group’s past successes.

I like his idea of consciously being hard on yourself to keep you awake and not get caught up in it all – to stay focused on Your Grand Strategy.
